Can Eco Canteen Prevent Erectile Dysfunction?

Category: Fitnessadmin @ 5:39 pm

Will using Eco Canteen reusable stainless steel water bottles instead of drinking from plastic remove the risk of ingesting Bisphenol-A (BPA), a chemical found in plastics which has been linked to numerous health problems including erectile dysfunction, a risk of brain damage, birth defects, hyperactivity, heart disease, early puberty, obesity, and prostate cancer?

CNN published an article on the results of a study linking BPA and erectile dysfunction last year and I meant to write about it then, but the holiday season arrived with  a bang and didn’t stop until last week, when I finally took down my Christmas tree! This is after going over a week with an entire bedroom set in my living room and no bathroom because the crazy California storms caused the walls to swell with moisture and start sweating water, so the rooms had to be to be replastered and repainted and have the carpeting torn out…but that’s another post.

So anyway, back to the tale of plastic and the pee-pee. Just kidding, but seriously, for the cost of two (2) packs of plastic water bottles you can get the Eco Canteen and stop paying for plastic bottles forever. Think of the landfills, think of your body, think of the savings, think of a reason NOT to get the Eco-Canteen. It will save so much more than your sex life, *wink-wink*.

For only $9.99 plus shipping and handling you get the EcoCanteen and a free insulated tote bag for the gym, the car, the bike, your purse, or wherever you’ve been bringing those so-called disposable but definitely not biodegradable plastic bottles, and stop throwing away your money, your health, and our environment.

Eco Canteen Stainless Steel Water Bottle, Stay Healthy and Green

Category: Fitnessadmin @ 10:04 am

How much money and plastic can the EcoCanteen save? According to my sister and brother-in-law, in the last month they have been using the Eco-Canteen they estimate having saved at least 120 plastic bottles and around $30. They arrived at these figures by estimating they drink an average of two bottles each per day, and assume a 20 pack of bottled water costs around $5.

(RANT:  Now my sister and bro-in-law  recycle (of course!), but believe it or not there are many people still out there who don’t. Just imagine all of those Barbarians’ (!) plastic water bottles making their way into landfills where they sit for centuries, leeching chemicals into the ground which eventually make their way into our food and water supplies! Makes you furious right? Well, now imagine everyone was using a reusable, environmentally safe steel water bottle like the Eco Canteen. Problem solved! /RANT.)

The money they saved using Eco-Canteen was just a bonus though. The main reason they switched was the future health of their brand new baby girl (my first niece, OMG I love her!). Before she was born I gave my sister an article about bisphenol A(BPA), a chemical present in plastic bottles but not in the Eco Canteen, which is made of stainless steel. The article described a study of rats that ingested BPA and found that the chemical was passed on to their offspring after leeching into breast milk.

BPA is a chemical linked to breast cancer among other things, so my sister being the new-mommyzilla (in a good way, of course) decided that BPA was not getting into her little girl if she had anything to say about it. So her and my brother-in-law purchased two Eco Canteen Stainless Steel Water Bottles and have not looked back. They have saved money, cut down on the amount of plastic recycling, and are helping to keep my little niece just a tiny bit safer.
